SINGAPORE GREEN LABELLING SCHEME

The Singapore Green Labelling Scheme (SGLS) was launched in May 1992 to endorse industrial and consumer products that have less undesirable effects on our environment. Adminis tered by the Singapore Environment Council (SEC), the SGLS is the region’s most established ecolabelling scheme with over 3000 unique products certified across 28 countries.

The Singapore Green Label is a seal of endorsement on its en vironmentally-friendly claims to prevent the abuse of green-washing. This has proved to be advantageous for Green Label certified products that have become more marketable and readily accepted by consumers or businesses when making a purchase.

Application for the Singapore Green Label is open to both local and foreign companies.

SEC is a member of the Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN). Consisting 25 other member countries from various parts of the world, GEN allows for SGLS endorsed products to be more recognised and accepted by other member countries of the Eco-labelling network.

WINBOURNE PERMEATE SEAL

WINBORNE Permeate-seal is manufactured from a blend of Inorganic and Organic Polymers. The organic polymer is resistant to household and construction chemicals, providing long term surface protection. The mild biocide it contains to help to inhibit organic growth without endangering the environment.

Upon application, it penetrates deeply into the substrate, crystallizes and provides in-depth sealing. As the leakage stops, another component dries to form a second waterproof barrier and strengthens the substrate.

A third component increases the pH of the concrete to greater than 10, which reduces re-bar corrosion. While providing rapid sealing (best in 24 hours), the curing process will continue as long as there are active components and moisture.
